Rock Solid Pressure Showcase - Lakeland, FL - October 11, 2006

This was by far one of the best experiences we've had on the road. After 20 hours of driving (Robert Stuckey & Anita Hendrix went along to help out - THANKS GUYS, we couldn't have done it without you!) we cruised to Clearwater Beach, exited Gary and promptly threw ourselves into the ocean. AHHH!!! After an afternoon of fun in the sun, I got a message from Patty the Radio Girl inviting us to hang out with her and J-Rock. We met them up at Lillian's at 8pm for a pre-party of sorts. Got to meet Brad and Cliff from Subliminal Productions and Gina from from Supergiant Productions, as well as Sarah, the booking agent at Lillian's. Sarah's friend, Brittany, also joined us. J-Rock and Patty had pizza waiting for us when we arrived, so we enjoyed pizza and beer with them inside before migrating to the patio. As soon as Sarah heard we were a Jager band, she disappeared to the bar and returned moments later with Jager shots for everyone. J-Rock and Patty are huge fans of 'Girls' Night' so we exploded into an acapella rendition of the song complete with J-Rock singing Tony's guitar leads and a chorus of backing vocals on the "get laid" part. I'm sure we scared more than a few passersby. We wrapped up the night relatively early since we all had a big day the next day.

On Saturday, we arrived back at Lillian's around noon. We were the second band to go on, so we were busy getting gear unloaded and everything organized early on. We met Jesse from Siri Dyal out of CA and hung out with him quite a bit. He rocked the hell out during our showcase, too. Also, met Glenn, Feedback's manager - what a great guy. Really, all the bands we met were just super. We played to a small crowd since it was so early in the day, but there were lots of people snapping pictures and a good response from the audience. I would have loved to have played for a bigger crowd so we could have shown those industry pros how we can work a crowd, but ahh, you can't always have it all. It was still a blast, no matter. I abandoned the stage during 'Come Along' and made myself at home on the bar. The bartenders were super cool, letting me invade their space like that.

As the night progressed, things got crazier and crazier. Those Florida girls are WILD! The boyz were lovin' that. Josh and Tony decorated lots of boobs with XXX stickers. Check out the 3 Kisses fansite at www.3kissesfriends.com for photos.

I had the pleasure of visiting extensively with Bob Stevens from Old Dog Products. He designed these killer custom guitar stands. www.olddogproducts.com. We're looking forward to representing this company!

J-Rock introduced us to some of the scouts and I met Trebor Lloyd from City Canyons Records in between sets. He gave us some great feedback and was just a super nice guy. Lots of great contacts were made at this event, so we'll see what the future holds.

Below, is J-Rock's recap of the weekend for those of you who are interested.

THE ROCK SOLID PRESSURE SHOWCASE 2006: The Results

Right now we are in a 'recovery' mode from the most phenomenal event that 'ever' hit the historic stage at Lillians. Sure, tons of bands get signed from Lillians, but the 'wow' factor of this show was amazing. We can't just call it a 'packed house' on Saturday October 7th. It was more like an entire city of people landed in Lakeland. First, you have to put in to perspective that we have a thriving music scene here. Tons of bands that you see on Letterman, Kimmel, Conan, Leno, got signed from Lillians or from this area in general. This is the Hardcore/Rock capital of the United States right now. In fact, many of the well known bands actually live here, and of course, they hang at Lillians. We're honored to be recognized and highly involved in this music mecca. THE ROCK SOLID PRESSURE SHOWCASE 2006 will go down in Lillians history as the 'biggest' event to ever hit that legendary stage. At the moment, I still can't speak, I'm a bit groggy. I'm not sure 'what' will air on the radio tonight, but yes, it will be our first re-run, sorry..Yes, bands were signed, endorsed, won amazing stuff, and overall had an awesome time performing for some very powerful people in the music business..

The DVD will be coming our shortly and other bands will quite possibly be signed. we also know there are some development deals in the works. For now, here's a rundown of who got signed, endorsed, etc..

Congrats to you guys for completing the mission and getting the gold. But you all have to remember, every band kicked major ass. This was the best of the best from our 2006 radio competitions, and yes, we blew away the industry as usual. Just because a band did not get signed does not lessen the performance. There were so many A&R in the room, many were not even 'ON' the panels. They just showed up to pick and choose. I'm quite certain most of these bands are being tracked. These pending contracts are just the ones we know about. Yes, sometimes the panel is brutal on their comment sheet, but this year it was mostly love. There was constructive criticism for almost every band. There were a select 'few' who did not take the comments well, but that's always expected. Lubbock, TX - Party DOWN! - August 19, 2006

What a WILD week! It all started with our first show at Bash Riprocks in the Depot District. Linda, Tiffany, Sheri, Trish and Toby all came out to party with us. Robert drove up from Austin. ROCK! That was nice - familiar faces in a strange city is always a good thing. Even better, friendly unfamiliar faces were out in full force. Grey, Kelly and crew - THANK YOU! Then, Darran., the baddest ass of bad ass guitar players showed up (www.myspace.com/peaceofash). Never mind that he's my bro and supports us to the ends of the earth - he's still an f'n bad ass. So, he sat in and jammed a song with Tony and Josh while I chilled in the audience. Cool. What next? Oh, we cruised over to Tylers house and partied with Darran until 6am. That was day #1.

Day #2 We slept - a lot. Then headed to Jakes Backroom where unbeknownst to us we would be sharing the stage with the COOLEST band EVER! Cameran from Crimson Envy (www.myspace.com/crimsonenvy) booked this show for us. We got there and loaded in - once again with many friends in attendance. Linda, Sheri, Tiffany, Ed, Larry & Robert.thanks for coming out, guys! I was standing out chatting with Cameran when he let me in on a little secret. Turned out, Crimson Envy had fired their drummer the night before (like this has NEVER happened to us!) and he was doing double duty singing AND playing drums. They would be introducing their new drummer, Matt, at the end of the set, but Cameran was worried (needlessly, I might add.) He asked us to take the headlining slot, so I talked to Tony and Josh and they agreed. Crimson Envy played and Cameran did a damn fine job of covering for the dumb ass they fired. Dont know the guy, but hes gotta be a dumb ass if he cant hang with this band. They rocked the house and had the coolest group of friends and fans Ive ever seen. I was a little concerned about following this act. But, they continued to amaze me - the whole band, their friends and their fans not only hung out for our entire set, but they came up to the front of the stage and supported us the whole way. It was worth going to Lubbock just to meet this group of people. The staff at Jakes was outstanding. Andrew started out doing sound for us, then Greg (who also booked us) took over and made us sound FANTASTIC! Brad, the bartender, was cool as hell, too. I had to abandon the stage at one point while everyone was doing shots and hop up on the bar. Lots of Jager was involved. I earned the nickname, Ninja, courtesy of Becca, following this feat. We could not have possibly had a better time. Met lots of cool peeps - Will, Dusty, Scott - I cant remember everyone, but I know they were all cool!!! After the show, the Crimson Envy crew invited us to an after party that was at Greg's house. We had a blast - jamming, hanging, drinking and being goofy. Yes, pictures will soon be available. ;-) Greg was awesome and it was just amazing at how we were accepted into this group. We love you guys! (Cameran, Charlie, Tate, Matt, Becca, Cara, Vicki, Nicole, M'randa, and of course-Greg! Mmmmwahhhh Mmmmmwahhh Mmmmmmwahh (that's 3 Kisses for you guys)!

Ahhh - Day #3. Yep, we had the day off. So, we went to an acoustic show that was a benefit/battle of the bands of sorts. Cameran and Tate were playing, so we had to go support the boys. Unfortunately, we got lost a couple of times, but made it in time to hear a couple of songs. And they ROCKED! Had a few beers, then went back to Linda's (of Linda's Song fame) and chilled there. Hung out with Linda, Robert and friends from high school, Sheri and Tony J. Played a little music, drank some beer, stayed up way too late. This is becoming habitual.

Day #4 - What a great day. Tony J. cooked brisket and Linda had all the fixins. There was beer flowing and too many people to even name showed up for the best party I've been to since Harrisburg, PA. Crimson Envy and Co. were out in full force and Josh and I were inducted into the Crimson Envy Beat-the-shit-out-of-each-other Club. We weren't totally taken by surprise. Cameran and Becca demonstrated this tradition at Greg's party on Saturday night. They have this nice little competition of seeing what kind of welts they can leave on each others backs. Tony was smart enough to steer clear. These guys are insane. I started out going at it with Cameran. He didn't even want to hit me, so I don't think he gave it 100 percent. Becca, on the other hand, beat the crap out of me. Chicks ROCK! J We all beat the hell out of Josh. Good thing he's a good sport. He's typically very good natured, too, but got a little beligerant by the end of the night. M'randa (sister of Charlie, the bass player) was repeatedly ordered around by him. It started with a cookie, which she was nice enough to get. After that, Josh demanded cake. Tony conspired with M'randa and Josh wound up getting a whole lot of chocolate cake shoved in his face. Not that he minded - they dropped a piece on the garage floor and Josh picked that up and ate that, too. Although, he was a little confused by the dark brown stains all over his white t-shirt the next morning. LOL He also spent the rest of the time in Lubbock apologizing and trying to get back into M'randa's good graces. I think he succeeded?? This party, too, involved a lot of acoustic jamming and sing-a-longs, great company and lots of laughs. I dont even remember going to bed. Did I?

Day #5 - These Lubbock peeps were killing us. We had to take a day off. Our day off consisted of watching lots of movies, moving as little as possible and staying far, far away from the beer. WHEW!

Day #6 - Not much rest for the wicked. We went out to dinner with my friends, Steve and Dionne, who I had not seen in quite awhile. It was great hanging out with them and catching up. After dinner, we went over to Linda's where we were met by our friend, Reed and his girlfriend. True to our nature, there was lots of hanging out, drinking beer, chillin' in Linda's back yard; telling stories of Giant Acts of Stupidity in our pasts and predicting future ones. At midnight, we all sang Happy Birthday to Tony. We made it an early night - got in bed by 3-4am. Back to work the next night...

Day #7 - Tonys Birthday! I went shopping and bought him some cool presents. We played at Bash's again and all our friends, Crimson Envy, and their friends were out in full force for the second time. It was really refreshing to meet such a talented band with so many successes who was so freakin' cool. That in and of itself was amazing. Their friends being just as cool as them was almost overwhelming. We had a huge table of peeps out, rockin' and partying like crazy. Practically everyone in the place joined us on stage for Jager shots. Becca shot 300 plus pictures and is the most amazing photographer. You should definitely check out her work: www.myspace.com/freshoutphotos Any band (or anyone for that matter) in need of a great photographer should hit her up. Vicki has the most outstanding lung capacityshe can cheer at a 3 Kisses show ANYTIME! Did I mention, I LOVE these guys?

Day #8 - Bleachers in the Depot District. What an interesting venue. All brick and glass and brick and glass. Getting the sound right was a challenge. The staff at this bar was absolutely the coolest. Jeff, Chad, Austin, Kelly, Chris, Deuce, Ronnie and everyone else whos names I didn't catch, you guys were GREAT! We had a small, yet FUN crowd on Friday night. Crimson Envy and crew were off to Midland for a couple of shows there. Bummer! But, Steve and Dionne came out along with Tiffany, Linda, Sheri, Tony J. and Christi Ann. Dionne kept feeding me shots all night. I probably drank more Jager than anyone else in the room and managed to not only stay upright on stage, but play and sing in a respectable fashion. I'm not sure how. The crowd was great, even though it was small, and we had a lot of fun. After a dozen shots, we had to call it an early night - again. (In bed by 3-3:30am) YAWN!

Day #9 - Our last night in town - had to make this one count. Back at Bleachers. Where in the hell did all the peeps come from? Well, Texas Tech had summer graduation. That might have had something to do with it. Tiffany and Ed came out and our buddy, Slyker, made it out for the last few songs. There was a nice big partying group of peeps there for most of the evening. We had a great time, lots of people "got laid" with us and Slyker hooked us up with some Jager shots. (Go, Slyker!) I really dig this bar - the staff was great both nights and treated us so well. After the show, all our friends helped us pack up and we got some fajitas down in the Depot District with the hottest f'n hot sauce I've ever tasted in my life. Josh was whining about how hot it was and I gave him some shit about it - then, I realized he was right. My mouth's still on fire, I think. Slyker (formerly of Fat Cowboy) has a slick little rehearsal room downtown, so we cruised over there to drink some beer and jam. Well, Slyker and Josh jammed. They played dueling drums and I got some kick ass video (I think). Josh also jammed with the drummer from the Kinky Wizards (www.myspace.com/kinkywizards) and did a damn fine job holding his own with these veteran players. Slyker, Tiffany and I reminisced about partying at this same location back in the 90's and everyone took turns contributing to the beer can collection on the roof of the neighboring building. We finally left at about 4:30am - not to go home, nooooo, of course not THAT! On our last night in town? You've gotta be kidding me! We went back over to Tyler's to have a few beers with Darran and listen to him shred the acoustic guitar. I know by the time we headed back to Linda's, the sun was coming up. A perfect end to a perfect week!

Lubbock, TX can't wait to see you again!!!
